MY SUMMER EXPEDITION
MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS WEEKLY NEWSLETTER

Week 1 recap
The MY Summer Expedition program kicked off with a fun packed trip to the Ohio Caverns where students learned about crystal growth and glaciated plains in Ohio. They experienced mining their own gemstones and played a matching gemstone game on the ride home!
Students went to Hocking Hills and hiked the Rockhouse Trail leading to a cave created by ocean wave erosion. They took in scenic views and learned about different types of rocks, forest life, the impact of human life on species and environment - such as how animals consume human waste and how we can protect the environment.
Students sang songs and played SEL (social emotional skills) games on the bus ride.
